Big Jib has its roots with the father-son duo of Curt and Joseph Blackmore. From the town of George's Brook-Milton, the Curt & Joseph have been performing together at coffee houses and fundraisers since Joseph was about 3 years old. During the Covid lockdown, Curt & Joseph started a weekly Facebook show that became quite popular. Once the lockdown ended, the guys decided to look for gigs in local restaurants and bars and began cutting their teeth. The current 4-piece band is also comprised of Jeremy Pardy - a Sunnyside native currently living in Lethbridge - who has been playing musical instruments since middle school, and Jonathan Peach - an Arnold's Cove native currently living in Clarenville who has been playing in successful local bands since his high school days. The guys are currently in studio working on their first album which they to release in the first half of 2025.
